Based on the insightful slogan "Education is the Responsibility of All" and the fact that community service programmes and projects are part of the main characteristics of successful educational systems, the Award has given special importance to the field of "Education and Community Service".
The Education and Community Service Award shall be granted to the school, institution, center or relevant institution that develops successful community service-related programmes and projects. These programmes must be validated by detailed qualitative data, based on evidence of international standards and specific to performance indicators.
The award for this field is dedicated to local educational events that integrate the educational process with their local community. |

Target Categories :
• Schools, institutes and centers in educational technical and vocational fileds for public and private.
• Educational institutions (university, college or central educational department/zone, etc), or relevant educational institutions that are related to the field of supporting the sustainable environment.
• Relevant institutions.
Conditions for the field of "Education and Community Service":
• The project or programme must be a new initiative and should not have won any previous awards in other contests either within the UAE or abroad.
• The project or the programme should have been functional for a minimum of one (1) year, with tangible results.
• Only one (1) entity may participate per submitted project or programme (e.g. one school, educational institution, university, college, institute or central educational department/zone).
• The school, institute, center or relevant institutions may apply for the Award annually, unless it has been a previous winner, in which case subsequent nominations will be ineligible.
Criteria and standards of excellence to be used to judge the "Education and Community Service" category:
• The concept design of the programme or project.
• Planning for the programme or project.
• To what extent have the available resources been used to achieve the programme's or project's objectives.
• Evaluation of the programme or project and its outcome.
Award Value:
• A financial award of AED 100,000.
• The Khalifa Award for Education trophy shield
• Certificate of Excellence in the "Education and Community Service" category.
