The Education and the Sustainable Environment Award shall be presented to the individuals or institutions that develop successful programmes and projects in the field of sustainable environment. These programmes must be validated by detailed qualitative data, based on evidence of meeting international standards and specific to performance indicators.
The award for this category is dedicated to local recipients in order to promote the role of education in achieving a sustainable environment. |

Target Categories:
• Individuals.
• Technical or vocational schools, institution and center for the both public and private.
• Educational institutions (university, college or central educational department/zone, etc), or relevant educational institutions that are related to the field of supporting the sustainable environment.
Conditions for nomination in the category of "Education and Sustainable Environment":
• Nominated individuals or institutions should present a project, programme or campaign that should have been operational or verifiably functional.
• The programme or project should be closely relevant to the field for all types of education.
• The school or institution may apply for the award annually, unless it was a previous winner, in which case it will be ineligible to submit subsequent nominations.
Criteria and standards of excellence to be used to judge the "Education and Sustainable Environment" category:
• The concept design of the programme, project or campaign.
• The impact of the programme, project or campaign on the target category.
• The feedback by the beneficiaries from the nominated programme, project or campaign, especially the views of the students.
• The extent to which the programme. project or campaign has achieved the target objectives.
• The efficient use of available resources to achieve the objectives.
Award Value:
• A financial award of AED 100,000.
• The Khalifa Award for Education trophy shield.
• A Certificate of Excellence in the "Education and a Sustainable Environment" category.
