The Award for the "Creating Knowledge Networks" category shall be dedicated to vocational groups, with outstanding performance in any educational or vocational educational field, to be verified through the application of practical measurements based on clear scientific criteria and specific performance indicators. |

A Knowledge Network is a group or team of several educational institutions, which should not be less then three (Schools, institutions, centers or the like), led by a group of teachers, counsellors or educators working in these institutions, in order to attain a certain scientific or educational achievement in one or more different areas that would meet specific, specialised educational needs. |

The Award in this category is dedicated to local groups and aims to promote co-operation between educational groups in educational institutions within the UAE.
Target Categories:
• Teachers in academic education, pubic technical, privet and vocational.
• Educational Counsellors.
• Specialised/Professional Educators
Conditions for nomination to the "Creating Knowledge Networks" category:
• The number of members in each single vocational group should range between a minimum of five (5) and a maximum of 10 (ten) members.
• Members of the group should belong to not less than three (3) educational institutions.
• The group members' diversity of specialisations should serve the vocational field in question.
• The group may apply for the Award annually, unless it has been a previous winner, in which case subsequent nominations will be ineligible.
Criteria and standards of excellence to be used to judge the "Creating Knowledge Networks" category:
• The impact of the learning and knowledge network on the professional development of the group members.
• The impact of the knowledge network on students' academic achievement levels.
• The impact of the knowledge network on students' behaviour and attitudes.
• The relationship between the knowledge network on the one hand and the educational institutions.
• The relationship between the knowledge network on the one hand and the community on the other.
Award Value:
• A financial award of AED 150,000 for each winning group.
• The Khalifa Award for Education trophy shield.
• A Certificate of Excellence in the "Creating Knowledge Networks" category.
