1. Applications and their annexes will not be returned to the senders.
2. Decisions made by the jury are final.
3. Winners will be announced at the beginning of April of each year, the Award will be granted at an official ceremony, held on the date specified by His Highness the President of the Board of Trustees (in April), in the city of Abu Dhabi. The President of the Board of Trustees has the right to identify any date for the celebration.
4. Applications which do not meet the requirements of the award will be disqualified .
5. Work possession, whether a book, research, project, or program, will be organized in terms of number of years, copyright, use and application, within two years from the date of the Award. In the event of failing to do so, the author becomes the owner of the work after those two years, according to the following bases:
A. In the event of prize winning research and this research was printed and published, is to provide the General Secretariat prior to the ceremony and distributed prizes b (100) a copy of it.
B. In the event that the research manuscripts, intellectual property transmitted to the Secretariat, to be printed during the two years from the date of the award, and only returned to the winner of the intellectual property, to be committed to including the following paragraph (c).
C. If the determination of the winner to retain the paper and printing at its own expense, the following words written on its cover the external and the internal title page: "This is a research-Khalifa Prize for the category of educational research in the educational session ............ for the year. ........... ", and provide the secretariat (100) copies, driven by taxi transfer at the expense of the prize. And the liberation promised and under the threat of legal prosecution..
6. If the applicant dies after the submission of his application, and has won the Award, his rights will be granted to his rightful heirs.
7. The work should not be presented to any other award or organization at the time of submission to Sheikh Khalifa Award for Education.
8. Winners of, or nominees for, the Award in any area may not nominate themselves for the Award for more than two consecutive sessions. The exceptions to this are in the areas of Innovative Educational Programmes and Projects, and New Educational Research, with the proviso that on each occasion the nominee should have added a new element.
9. In the areas of procedural scientific research and internaional educational book, the work should not have been prepared to obtain a university degree, or to be submitted to another Award.
10. The Executive Committee has the right to request from applicants, whose applications are accepted, to provide samples of accomplishments and literature referred to in their applications, whether these works were projects, programs, or innovations. Refraining from doing so is considered a reason for cancelling of their applications as the Committee sees appropriate.
11. The applicant should not apply for a similar Award in the UAE or elsewhere in the same year he nominates himself for the Khalifa Award for Education.
12. Nominees for the categories of General Education, Higher Education, World Education Book and for the Contributions of HH the President of the UAE should not have won any previous award of similar or equivalent value, whether in literary status or material reward, to that of the Khalifa Award for Education, within two (2) years from the date of submission of nominations for this current Award.
13. Applications containing incorrect information, data or false documents will be cancelled, even in the event of winning the Award or after the official announcement of the winners officially, or during any time after winning the Award.
14. Cases of withdrawing the Award, in a way that is not consistent with the rights of intellectual freedom, will be determined by a decision of the Board of Trustees.
15. Canceling the winning application and restoring the Award with its components will be subject to a decision by the Board of Trustees.
16. If the award is cancelled after it is declared its cancellation will be announced in the same media that announced the winning.
17. The Board of Trustees of the Award has no right to cancel the nomination if it is true in any area of the Award for more than two consecutive years.
18. The executive committee will prepare a list of experts and arbitrators who can be consulted and are assigned in the evaluation.
19. Each area in the Award has three arbitrators as a maximum and two as a minimum, all of whom shall provide a report confidentially and independently.
20. Rewarding members of the jury will be determined by a decision from the Award Board of Directors, and in a way that suits the arbitrator status in the area of specialization and time spent in the arbitration process.
21. Any member of the Board of Trustees or Executive Committee has no right to nominate himself in any area of the Award.
22. The applicant has no right to apply in more than one area per year.
Please adhere to the following specifications of the annexes, whether “boxes or CDs":
1. Evidence and other documents shall be accepted from the last five years only.
2. All documents and evidence files shall be the property of the Award and will not be returned to their owners. Therefore, the applicant should have copies of the materials that will be presented before the Evaluation Committee during interviews or personal visits.
3. The size of all annexes shall not exceed 25X40 X 15 cm, including the file containing them.
4. The annexes are limited in A4 paper, VHS films, cassette tapes, floppy disks , CDs or flash sticks.
5. In the electronic documentation, the applicant should use the most common software along with typing the names of the programs for opening the files on the hard disk and CD.
6. Annexes and evidences shall be organized in a manner that each standard has its annexes separated from the others.
7. Posters should be placed on the file of the applicant, identifying his name, area, category, employment file number figure, position name and job.
8. Applications from Arab countries in the areas allocated to them will be delivered by courier companies such as ARAMEX, FedEx or DHL.
