Conditions for nomination in the field of Educational Authoring for children within UAE and the Arab world:
• Nominated work should be authored in Arabic.
• The applicant shall be committed to apply adopted authoring scientific methods in his work.
• Nominated work should be free from any abusive language, or material that may impact the psyche and behavior of the target audience.
• The nominated work should not have won a previous Award.
• The book should not have been authored for the purpose of obtaining an academic degree; a bachelor degree, Master's or a PhD.
• The book should not have applied to a similar award inside or outside the country in the same year of applying to Khalifa Award for Education.
• Nomination of the authored work shall be accepted regardless of its authoring year, provided it has not been printed before.
• If the candidate's work is printed, the printing date should not exceed one year from the nomination date.
Technical specifications of child literature authoring:
• Creative work: The minimum size of the creative work for children, whether it be a story or a play, should be 100 pages, including illustrations, without a limited number of words in the single line, and the number of lines per page.
• The minimum size of the creative work for children, if several stories or plays, should be 150 pages, including illustrations, without a limited number of words in the single line, and the number of lines per page.
• Study and research: The minimum number of pages in the nominated book should be 200 pages of normal size, and the minimum number of lines per page should be 25 lines, with the minimum number of 12 words in each single line.
• Three hardcopies and one electronic version in a flash stick should be submitted.

• Complying with the educational objectives that seek to build child's personality.
• Cohesion, attraction, and thrill in the creative work.
• Realistic figures.
• Creative work's appropriateness to child's age and interests, as well as the child's ability to benefit from the work.
• The works' linguistic and psychological appropriateness to the child's level and growth degree.
• Commitment to the easy classical language.
• Attractiveness of book cover, form, design and colors, as well as the beauty of the design of its inside pages.
2. Criteria for the differentiation and excellence for Child Literature Studies in the field of Educational Authoring for children:
• Researcher's related criteria.
• Criteria for the introduction of the book.
• Content of the book.
• Method of presenting the scientific material.
• Epilogue of the book.
• Book's production.

• A financial Award of AED 200,000, divided into two parts (Creative field - Studies in children literature).
